Hip and knee replacement surgeries to cure arthritis

Arthritis is a joint disorder that is characterized by inflammation and pain. The most affected joints by arthritis are knees, shoulders and the hip joint.  The causes of hip joint arthritis may attribute to increased age, obesity, genetics, or any previous injury.  The symptoms include pain the groin when you wake up in the morning. The pain spreads down the thighs while you are active and relieves while taking rest.  The cartilage at the end of the hip bones helps the hip joint to glide against each other. The cause factors may lead the cartilage to wear out thus letting the bones in direct contact while you walk, resulting in inflammation in the hip joint.
The hip arthritis could be cured with nonsurgical or surgical treatments. The non surgical treatments often do not relieve the patient of the pain. Under such circumstances, the surgical treatment is the only option left.  In order to treat hip arthritis, two types of surgeries are suggested. The total or half hip replacement is recommended to the patients depending upon their medical condition.  The total hip replacement surgery involves replacing the cartilage on ends of both the bones in the damaged hip joint.  This surgery is carried out in a step by step process. The replacement joint is attached with or without cement depending on the surgeon’s opinion.  The surgery may be done by making smaller incisions. This ensures speedy recovery of the patient.
The knee arthritis is also cured from either surgical treatment or non surgical treatment. The surgical treatment can be done in two ways either making complete knee replacement or partial knee replacement.  The top knee surgeons must be contacted for knee surgeries due to the complexity of the surgery.  They do not only make the patient feel at ease but also instill in them the new vigor that helps the patients to recover faster.  A good surgeon would suggest a knee replacement surgery to the patients aging between 55 to 80 years. Although, the certain knee injuries in the younger patients often call for a replacement surgery. Arthritis is a chronic disease so patients must not delay their treatment to a later date. An early treatment can prevent further damage to the joints.
